I have been an English teacher in Brazil for years now. All those years of experience in teaching have led me to another passion: writing materials. I have always loved writing, and so took every opportunity to improve my writing skills, be it in my native language, Portuguese, or in English. However, writing materials for teaching purposes is something else. Creativity matters, of course, but there are much more important points to consider, such as relevance, purpose, flow, copyrights, etc.

In order to learn more about all these points above, I took an online course with British authors John Hughes and Kath Bilsborough called Writing ELT materials, where I first actually learned the essential points of how/why/who to about materials. I took another online course with Verônica Teodorov, a Brazilian author and editor, where I discovered the peculiarities of the market in my home country. I strongly recommend both courses, as they raised my awareness on essential points connected to authorship.
